Employee Benefits Account Manager

Baer Insurance is a well-established, independent insurance agency on Madison’s West Side looking to grow our team. We are seeking an energetic and independent individual with a track record of establishing quality and long lasting client relationships in the healthcare market. As an Employee Benefits Account Manager, you will work closely with clients to provide coverage review, analysis, and recommendations, as well as provide day to day service as it relates to their benefits program.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Responding to client needs promptly and efficiently
  • Leading the renewal process with timely, accurate preparation and processing of renewals
  • Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with both clients and vendors
  • Assisting the producer with preparations for new business and renewal meetings
  • Working independently on small business clients and in conjunction with the producer on mid to large benefits clients
  • Performing customer needs assessments proactively and on a regular basis
  • Developing and implementing client strategies including program designs and compliance plans
  • Performing benefits coverage analyses and making recommendations
  • Having the ability to problem solve, prioritize, provide thoughtful leadership, and work in a fast paced environment

Required Experience:

  • WI Life and Health Insurance License (Preferred)
  • Prior experience in Employee Benefits Insurance or equivalent HR related experience
  • Proficiency with computer programs including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
  • Professional communication skills, both written and verbal
