Employee Benefits Account Executive

The Employee Benefits Account Executive is a Sales role responsible for establishing employee benefits plan designs for new and current clients. This position is responsible for the strategy and consultation needs of clients from lead generation through annual renewals.

Job Duties:

New Business Production

  • Identify and develop new prospects

  • Work with other Account Executives on cross-sell and team selling accounts

  • Oversee marketing of accounts and negotiate with carriers

  • Design insurance plans with recommended options and coverages

  • Create and implement marketing plans and content

  • Meet sales goals

Client Retention

  • Develop ongoing service plan on current accounts

  • Maintain communications with clients including compliance topics, account reviews and renewal planning, wellness options and benefits package offerings for employee engagement and retention

  • Oversee renewal marketing of accounts and negotiate with carriers

  • Refer accounts and provide support for internal business partners

  • Meet retention goals

Responsibilities

  • Presentations, written and verbal, for sales, renewals, open enrollments and education

  • Ability to understand, explain and implement common employee benefit coverages including but not limited to: Health, Life, Disability, Dental, Vision, Salary Continuation, and Self-Funding

  • Staying at the forefront of employee benefits issues including but not limited to: Compliance, Federal and State Law changes, Wellness, and Benefits Administration options

  • Collaborating with management on a personal plan for both sales growth and professional development

  • Other duties as assigned by agency

Requirements:

  • Sales and/or Insurance experience preferred but not required

  • Wisconsin Insurance licenses for both Life & Health and Property & Casualty active or the ability to secure licenses within the first 3 months of employment

  • Time management skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks and work under deadlines

  • Must be able to create and maintain positive relationships with clients and teammates

  • Ability to create and implement plans independently (Self-Starter)

  • Computer program proficiency or willingness to learn

  • This is a full time position
